    01.06.2026:The State Foundation Days of Sikkim and Goa were celebrated through cultural performances at Maharashtra Lok Bhavan today in the presence of Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma. Organised in collaboration with the Ratan Tata Maharashtra State Skills University, the programme featured students of the University presenting folk songs and traditional dances of Sikkim and Goa, showcasing the cultural heritage of the two States. Speaking on the occasion, Governor Jishnu Dev Varma said that celebrating the State Foundation Days of different States provides an opportunity to appreciate their unique cultures and traditions and helps strengthen the spirit of national integration. Vice-Chancellor of Ratan Tata Maharashtra State Skills University Dr. Apoorva Palkar, Joint Secretary to the Governor S. Ramamoorthy, Comptroller of the Governor's Households Dr. Nishikant Deshpande, and members of the Sikkim community residing in Mumbai for education and professional pursuits were present.

    30.05.2026: Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma inaugurated the Holistic Cancer Healing Retreat created by the Bhaktivedanta College of Vedic Education at ISKCON temple at Kharghar Navi Mumbai. The Governor also launched the holistic music therapy 'Krishna Sanjeevani' created by musician Shashank Katti in the form of music tracks.     26.05.2026: Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma launched the 'TB Mukt Mumbai' Campaign to be implemented by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation at Lokmanya Tilak Hospital Sion in Mumbai. The 'TB Mukt Mumbai' campaign, a part of the 'TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan was launched by BMC at the instance of Lok Bhavan with focus on the slum areas of Mumbai. The inauguration of the ‘TB Free Mumbai’ campaign, organized on the initiative of Maharashtra Lok Bhavan, was attended by Mayor Ritu Tawde, Deputy Mayor Sanjay Ghadi, MLA Captain Tamil Selvan, MLA Dr. Jyoti Gaikwad, MLA Sunil Shinde, Chairman of the Municipal Corporation’s Public Health Committee Harish Bhandirge, Chairperson of the Education Committee Rajeshree Shirwadkar, Vice Chairman of the Market and Garden Committee Bhaskar Shetty, AMC (Suburbs) Vipin Sharma, Secretary to the Governor Dr. Prashant Narnaware, doctors, ASHA workers and officials of the Municipal Corporation. The Governor released an information booklet ‘TB Mukt Mumbai’ Abhiyan on the occasion. Earlier, the Governor visited the Eknathrao Gaikwad Health Centre in Dharavi, where he interacted with TB officers, doctors, staff members and ASHA workers, and distributed nutrition kits to TB patients. During the programme, the Governor also accepted responsibility for providing nutritional support to 30 tuberculosis patients. In recognition of this gesture, Mayor Ritu Tawde presented the Governor with a 'Nikshay Mitra' certificate.
