    21.06.2026: Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma joined the senior officers of Indian Coast Guard in performing yoga on the occasion of the International Day of Yoga at Maharashtra Lok Bhavan in Mumbai. This year, the International Day of Yoga celebrations at Lok Bhavan were organized in association with the Indian Coast Guard, Western Seaboard.Addressing the officers, Governor Jishnu Dev Varma commended the Indian Coast Guard for its multifaceted service to the nation and congratulated the Coast Guard on stepping into its Golden Jubilee year. Additional Director General of the Western Seaboard, M. V. Pathak, PTM, TM, and Inspector General Bhishm Sharma, PTM, TM, felicitated the Governor by presenting him with a memento. Senior officers of the Indian Coast Guard and their family members, and officers of Lok Bhavan participated in the yoga session. The yoga and pranayama session was conducted by yoga instructor Dilip Dauneria from Kaivalyadhama.

    Governor calls upon Consuls General: to promote trade, tourism, education and investments in Maharashtra
 
Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma addressed the diplomats of Mumbai at the Annual Consuls General Meet organized by Gateway House at Bombay Gymkhana, in Mumbai.   The Governor emphasized the important role of Consuls General in strengthening cooperation across trade, investment, tourism, cultural exchange, visa facilitation, and people-to-people contacts. 

The Governor highlighted Maharashtra’s position as India’s leading industrial state and gateway for global engagement. The Governor recalled that during recent months Presidents, Prime Ministers, and senior leaders from Bhutan, Vietnam, the United Kingdom, France, Myanmar, and other nations had visited Mumbai. He called for deeper collaboration between Maharashtra and the international community in trade, education, tourism, innovation, culture, and sustainable development. Consuls General from various countries posted in Mumbai were present on the occasion.

    12.06.2026: A delegation of the Maharashtra Olympic Association (MOA), led by former Member of Parliament and the Association’s Senior Vice President, Manoj Kotak, paid a courtesy visit to Governor Jishnu Dev Varma at Lok Bhavan, Mumbai. The delegation discussed the need to provide quality training and development opportunities for young athletes participating in various sporting disciplines. During the interaction, Governor Jishnu Dev Varma observed that athletes from the North-Eastern states possess immense talent. However, while sports infrastructure in those states remains limited, Maharashtra offers comparatively advanced sporting facilities. He suggested that Maharashtra should facilitate training opportunities for talented athletes from the North-East by enabling them to access the state’s sports infrastructure. The Governor further stated that Maharashtra has established itself as a leading state in the field of sports and should take the lead in promoting and popularising various sports across the country under the 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' initiative. General Secretary of MOA Sanjay Shete, Joint Secretary Dr. Pradeep Khandare, General Secretary of All India Tennis Association Sundar Iyer, General Secretary of the Tripura Olympic Association and Joint Secretary of the All India Tennis Association Sujit Roy, along with office-bearers of various sports organisations were present.

The 3 day Workshop has been jointly organised by the CoEP Technological University and  CANEUS International.  Eminent scientist Prof Raghunath Mashelkar, Vice-Chancellor of CoEP Technological University Prof Sunil Bhirud, Founder Chairman of CANEUS International Milind Pimprikar, experts, researchers, entrepreneurs and students from various fields were present.     09.06.2026: The Governor of Maharashtra Jishnu Dev Varma paid floral tributes to the statue of Krantisurya Bhagwan Birsa Munda on the occasion his 126th Martyrdom Day at Lok Bhavan, Mumbai. The Governor, along with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, also paid floral tributes to the portraits of 15 Tribal Revolutionaries and planted a sapling on the occasion. A documentary film depicting the sacrifice and legacy of Bhagwan Birsa Munda was screened during the programme. Tribal artists presented traditional folk dances, while several artists shared their experiences and thoughts.
