Maharashtra Governor inaugurates Startup Festival in Mumbai

Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma accompanied by Minister of Skill Development Mangal Prabhat Lodha inaugurated a one-day “Start-up Frontier 1.0” a startup exhibition and Conference at Y B Chavan Auditorium in Mumbai on Fri (10 July). The startup event was jointly organized by the Ratan Tata Maharashtra State Skills University, Maharashtra State Innovation Society, and the iSpark Foundation.
The Governor launched HP Creative Gaming Garage, an innovative online learning platform, as well as Medical Lab Technology, an online platform introduced by Metropolis Healthcare for students. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation of IIT Madras, and the Ratan Tata Maharashtra State Skills University was exchanged to promote collaboration in skill development, innovation, and emerging technologies. The Governor also visited the startup exhibition and interacted with young entrepreneurs.

Manisha Verma, Additional Chief Secretary, Skill Development Department; Amit Saini, Commissioner, Skill Development; Ipsita Dasgupta, Vice President, HP Inc.; Dr. Prashant Narnaware, Secretary to the Governor; Dr. Shrikant Patil, CEO, Maharashtra State Innovation Society; Dr. Vaibhav Narwade, Registrar, Ratan Tata Maharashtra State Skills University; principals of various colleges, faculty members, entrepreneurs, and students were present.
