    22.03.2026: The Vice President of India C P Radhakrishnan presided over the 81st Foundation Day of the Nisargopchar Ashram at Urulikanchan, Pune. Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha Harivansh Narayan Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar, and Trustee of the Ashram Dr Narayan Hegde were among those present. The Vice President visited various service facilities at the Ashram, interacted with the attendees, and extended his best wishes for its future endeavours. The Vice President released the book titled “Secrets of Happiness” authored by Dr. Narayan Hegde.

    21.03.2026: Vice President of India C P Radhakrishnan presided over the first Convocation of the Ratan Tata Maharashtra State Skills University at Lok Bhavan Mumbai. Governor of Maharashtra Jishnu Dev Varma, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar, Minister of Skill Development Mangal prabhat Lodha, Chief Secretary Rajesh Aggarwal, ACS Skill Development Manisha Varma and Vice CHancellor of RTMSSU Prof Apoorva Palkar were present. The Vice President presented the Best ITI awards to the Industrial Training Institutes in Latur, Aheri and Sambhajinagar and presented Gold Medals to 6 graduating students of the University. The Vice President also inaugurated an Exhibition organised by the University. The 'Say No To Drugs' Campaign was launched on the occasion.

    17.03.2026: A 17-member delegation of senior military and civil service officers from India and friendly countries, currently undergoing training at the National Defence College, called on Governor Jishnu Dev Varma at Lok Bhavan during their study tour of Maharashtra. The delegation included officers from the Indian Navy, Air Force, and Army, as well as officials from the Revenue Service. In addition, senior military officers from friendly countries such as Russia, Oman, Indonesia, Nigeria, Nepal, and Tanzania were also part of the delegation. The delegation was led by Major General Harkirat Singh (retd), Senior Faculty at the National Defence College.
