08.06.2026: Governor of Maharashtra Jishnu Dev Varma interacted with a student delegation from Andhra Pradesh under the 'Yuva' Sangam programme at Lok Bhavan, Mumbai. The programme was organised by the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune as part of the 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' initiative. Deputy Secretary of Higher Education Department Shreyans Mohan, Senior Technical Officer of Outreach and Training Programme IISER Pune Dr. Manava Divekar and Senior Principal Technical Officer Dr. Shanti Kalipatnapu, Assistant Professor of Department of Humanities and Social Sciences in IIT Tirupati Dr. Bibhuti Kachhap, Secretary to the Governor Dr. Prashant Narnaware, Joint Secretary to the Governor S. Ramamoorthy, Project Manager of Outreach and Training Programme IISER Pune Nitin Tiwane, members of the student delegation from Andhra Pradesh, and faculty members, staff and students of IISER Pune were present.

Governor Interacts with Students under ‘Yuva Sangam’ Programme

The Governor of Maharashtra Jishnu Dev Varma interacted with a student delegation from Andhra Pradesh under the ‘Yuva’ Sangam programme at Lok Bhavan, Mumbai on Mon (8 Jun). The programme was organised by the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune as part of the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ initiative.

In his address, the Governor underscored the importance of the values of responsibility, humility, and social engagement. He urged the students to embrace diversity, work with discipline and perseverance, and strive for professional excellence while fulfilling their social responsibilities towards society.

The Governor also underscored the importance of advancements in educational reforms, skill development, research, and the healthcare sector. He congratulated the Ministry of Education and the participating institutions for successfully organizing the programme and extended his best wishes to the students for a bright and successful future.
