Speech:- 13.02.2024: Governor inaugurates Maharashtra State Art Exhibition

13.02.2024: The 63rd Maharashtra State Art Exhibition organized by the Directorate of Arts, Government of Maharashtra was inaugurated by Governor Ramesh Bais at Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai. The Governor presented the ‘Late Vasudeo Gaitonde Kala Jeevan Gaurav Award’ to senior graphic designer Arun Padmanabh Kale for his contribution to the field of advertising. Senior metal artist Vivekananda Das was also given the ’63rd Maharashtra State Senior Artist award’. Fifteen artists from the field of Visual Art were also honoured. Minister of Higher and Technical Education Chandrakant Dada Patil, Speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Rahul Narwekar, Principal Secretary Higher and Technical Education Vikas Chandra Rastogi, Director of Arts Rajeev Mishra and artists from across the State were present. The works of many artists from the state have been displayed at the exhibition. The exhibition will remain open till 19th February.
