21.05.2023 : Governor presented Swatantryaveer Savarkar Award

21.05.2023 : Governor Ramesh Bais presented the ‘Swatantryaveer Savarkar Award for Bravery’ to Major Kaustubh Rane posthumously. The award instituted by the Swatantryaveer Savarkar Rashtriya Smarak was accepted by Major Rane’s mother Jyoti Rane in Mumbai. The Governor also presented the ‘Swatantryaveer Savarkar Smriti Chinha’ award to Pradeep Parulekar, the ‘Swatantryaveer Savarkar Award for Social Service’ to ‘Maitri Parivar Sanstha’ and the ‘Swatantryaveer Savarkar Science Award’ to Director of IIT Kanpur Dr Abhay Karandikar. Executive Chairman of the Swatantryaveer Savarkar Rashtriya Smarak Ranjit Savarkar, President and former DGP Pravin Dixit, trustee Manjiri Marathe and Swapnil Savarkar were present. Veermata Jyoti Rane replied to the felicitation.
