    Governor promises to give transparent and decision administration

    Mumbai, December 1:- Governor of the state Mr Bhagat Singh Koshyari today said that the government is going to present the economic status of the state before the people and it is committed to bring financial discipline in the state for economic formations.

    He was addressing the joint sitting of the state legislature at Vidhan Bhavan in which he laid out the new governments broader agenda. The Governor spoke at the joint meeting of state legislature in Marathi. Chairman of state legislative council Ram Raje Naik Nimbalkar, speaker of state assembly Nana Patole, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, leader of opposition Devendra Fadnavis, ministers and members of state legislature were present on the occasion.

    The governor further said that the government will give clean, transparent and decisive administration to the state. He said that between October to November 2019, the unseasonal rain had created havoc in the state due to which 349 talukas across 34 districts has to face huge agricultural loss. The government is committed to give compensation to all those farmer who lost their crops in this natural calamity.

    Mr Koshyari also said that the government will take all necessary steps to ensure that the farmers are free from crop loans. He said that the government will initiate action to redress the situation of the rural credit sector and give immediate compensation to the formers and see that they get remunerative prices for farm produce. This can reduce agrarian distress and ease their woes. He said that sustainable water supply schemes will be implemented in the drought affected areas of Marathwada and Vidarbha for ensuring satisfactory prices for product.

    The governor also said that the government will give priority to enact a law for ensuring 80 percent reservations in private sector jobs for the ‘sons of the soil’. He said that the process of filling of the vacancies in the state will be initiated soon. He said that the security of women will be given top priority and they will be provided equal opportunity. The governor said that the government will take all out efforts to see that the girls from economically backward families get free college and higher education.

    The other highlights of governors speech include:-

    • Setting up of centers to provide meals at rupees 10
    • Making new policy for attracting investment in the information technology(IT) field for generating employment opportunities for local educated youths.
    • Independent provision for improvement of roads in the state. New scheme to be started under the Chief Minister Gram Sadak Yojana.
    • Starting ‘One rupee Clinic’ at taluka level for diagnosis and medical tests of needy patients.
    • Super Specialty hospitals and medical colleges will be established in different phases in all the districts of the state.
    • All the citizens of the state will be provided health insurance cover and for this, various Health Insurance programs will be integrated.
    • More facilities and better clearance services will be provided to attract more investment in the industrial sectors.
    • All the police stations of the state will be connected with National Cyber crime complaint registering portal. Police officers and other Cops will be imparted training for making them more capable in investigation of Cyber crimes.
    • The government is committed to solve the problems of people engage in ‘Barter’ system.
    • Policy for providing food, clothes, shelter, education, health and employment to deprived community will be made.
    • Protected forts in the state will be preserved and their conservation will be undertaken.
    • The headquarter of Marathi Bhasha Bhavan will be established in Mumbai and the sub-centre of Marathi Bhasha will be established in New Mumbai.
    • Organizing various programs and workshops including singing, writing, acting, mono-acting, one- act play and skit competition for celebrating the centenary of great writers, singers, Pu. La. Deshpande Ga. Di. Madgulkar and Sudhir Phadke.
    • Provisions for strengthening the social security to senior citizens will be undertaken.
    • Strict action to be taken against those violating the food and drugs laws.
    • Goods and items made of plastic and thermocol are banned in the state and the implementation will be made more strict.
    • Implementation of integrated shore line field management project for disaster management under the National Clean Air Program (NCAP).
    • Strict actions to be taken against illegal and non scientific fishing at coastal regions and giving justice to traditional fishermen.
    • Various statewide programs will be organized for propagating the thoughts and ideal of Mahatma Gandhi among the youth on the occasion of his 150th birth anniversary.
    • Governor reiterates that the people of 865 Marathi speaking villages on the border of Maharashtra-Karnatak will be given justice and their rights will be protected.
    • Educated unemployed youths will be given scholarship.
    • Hostels will be constructed at all the district headquarters and prime cities in the state for working women.
    • Efforts for improvement of facilities to Anganwadi Sevika and Asha workers will also be on the card with priority.
    • There are eight lakh self help groups (SHG’s)in the state. The government will extend all possible assistance to strengthen them. They will be given priority for procurement by the government.
    • New policies will be made for improvement of primary and Middle education in the state.
    • Government will take all out efforts under the human development program for providing health, education support to comparatively backward groups. Special funds will be allotted for this work.
    • The government will speedily carry on the rehabilitation project for the legal slum dwellers under the Rehabilitation scheme.
