    President visited the Raj Bhavan premises

    Mumbai, 28 Dec : The President Shri Ramnath Kovind today inspected the Raj Bhavan premises along with the Governor Shri C Vidyasagar Rao and Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis.

    The Secretary to the Governor Shri Venugopal Reddy informed about the Rajbhavan premises on the occasion. The Chief Justice Shri Naresh Patil, Smt Savita Kovid, Smt Vinoda Rao and Smt Amruta Fadnavis were also present on the occasion.

    Earlier there was 3200 square meters lawn at Rajbhavan. Now it has grown upto 5600 square meters. The dignitaries inspected this mega and beautiful lawn. The dignitaries also reviewed the information about the seven to eight feet height embankment constructed recently for the security of Rajbhavan. The Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadanavis also appraised the President about the location of Chhatrapati Shri Shivaji Maharaj Shivsmarak in the Arabian Sea. Thereon the President applauded the Chief Minister for the same.

    The President Shri Ram Nath Kovid also inspected the British era Bunker detected at the Rajbhavan, He gave valuable inputs for the conservation of the Bunker.

    The Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadanavis appraised the President about the Bunker conservation and Coastal Road project undertaken by the State Government.

    The Governor Shri Rao appraised the President about the proposed construction of the Durbar Hall at Rajbhavan. The Governor stated that this Hall will have a seating capacity of nine hundred seats and the construction work of Durbar Hall and the Governor’s Secretariat Building will be completed by January 2020.
