03.06.2026: The State Foundation Days of Telangana was celebrated through cultural performances at Maharashtra Lok Bhavan today in the presence of Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma.
Organised in collaboration with the Verma Foundation and the Federation of Telugu Associations of Maharashtra (F-TAM), the programme featured artists associated with the organizations presenting folk songs and traditional dances of Telangana, showcasing the cultural heritage of the State.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Jishnu Dev Varma said that celebrating the State Foundation Days of different States provides an opportunity to appreciate their unique cultures and traditions and helps strengthen the spirit of national integration. The former Judicial Member of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Justice (Retd.) Madan Gosavi; noted film producer Ram Gopal Varma; President of Verma Foundation P. U. N. Varma; Founder of Marathi-Telugu Manch and President of the Federation of Telugu Associations of Maharashtra, Jagan Babu Ganji; Deputy Secretary to the Governor S. Ramamurthy; Family Manager to the Governor Dr. Nishikant Deshpande; Natya Shiromani Sheikh Nadia from Nellore; and members of various organizations from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

03.06.2026: India’s first Paralympic Gold Medalist and Havildar Padmashri Murlikant Petkar (Retd.) and Senior journalist and editor Priti Sompura met the Governor of Maharashtra Jishnu Dev Varma at Lok Bhavan, Mumbai.
Padmashri Murlikant Petkar presented his biography “The Murlikant Petkar Story: Defying the Bullet” authored by Ujjwala Barve and its Marathi translation to the Governor on this occasion. Priti Sompura presented two books 'Bachaposh' and 'Chulbuli Joya' authored by her to the Governor. According to her, 'Bachaposh' highlights the hidden Afghan practice where girls are compelled to live as boys, revealing the deep psychological and social trauma of those caught between two identities. 'Chulbuli Joya' is a suspense thriller based on the world of drugs, cinema, and law enforcement.

02.06.2026:The Governor of Maharashtra Jishnu Dev Varma hosted a reception in honour of the President of Myanmar, U Min Aung Hlaing, and the high-level delegation accompanying him at Maharashtra Lok Bhavan Mumbai on Tue (2 Jun). The Governor later hosted a banquet in honour of the President. Spouse of the Governor Smt. Sudha Dev Varma; Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and . Amruta Fadnavis; Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar; Chairman of the Maharashtra Legislative Council Ram Shinde; Minister for Skill Development Mangal Prabhat Lodha; Minister of Protocol Jaykumar Rawal; and senior officers of the Government were present.

02.06.2026: Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma welcomed the President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Min Aung Hlaing upon his arrival in Mumbai at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. Minister of Protocol Jaykumar Raval and senior government officials were present. The Governor will be hosting a reception in honour of the visiting President at Maharashtra Lok Bhavan in the evening.

Organised in collaboration with the Ratan Tata Maharashtra State Skills University, the programme featured students of the University presenting folk songs and traditional dances of Sikkim and Goa, showcasing the cultural heritage of the two States. Speaking on the occasion, Governor Jishnu Dev Varma said that celebrating the State Foundation Days of different States provides an opportunity to appreciate their unique cultures and traditions and helps strengthen the spirit of national integration. Vice-Chancellor of Ratan Tata Maharashtra State Skills University Dr. Apoorva Palkar, Joint Secretary to the Governor S. Ramamoorthy, Comptroller of the Governor's Households Dr. Nishikant Deshpande, and members of the Sikkim community residing in Mumbai for education and professional pursuits were present.

30.05.2026: Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma inaugurated the Holistic Cancer Healing Retreat created by the Bhaktivedanta College of Vedic Education at ISKCON temple at Kharghar Navi Mumbai. The Governor also launched the holistic music therapy 'Krishna Sanjeevani' created by musician Shashank Katti in the form of music tracks. Temple President of ISKCON Kharghar Dr Sur Das, former MP Ramsheth Thakur, former MP Dr Sunil Gaikwad, Director of Bhakti Vedanta College of Vedic Education Dr Vaishavanghri Sevak Das, and others were present.

29.05.2026: Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma visited the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha Mahayajna Satsang organised on the occasion of Purushottam Maas at Jogeshwari, Mumbai. Addressing the audience, the Governor said the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha has the power to transform the youth and instill ethics and moral values in society. The Governor felicitated Katha Karta Mahavir Sharan Shastri and congratulated the Savarkar Foundation, for organizing the Shrimad Bhagwat Saptah. President of the Foundation Rupesh Savarkar was also present.
