    Farewell accorded to outgoing Governor Vidyasagar Rao;

    New Governor to take oath on 5th Sept

    Outgoing Governor of Maharashtra CH. Vidyasagar Rao was given a warm farewell by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Tuesday (3 Sept). The Chief Minister presented a shawl and a bouquet of flowers to the Governor at the farewell function.

    A Ceremonial Guard of Honour was presented to the Governor by the Indian Navy on this occasion. The Governor accompanied by his wife CH. Vinodha left for Hyderabad soon after the ceremony.

    Ministers for Revenue and Public Works Chandrakant Patil, Minister for Water Resources Girish Mahajan, Minister for School Education and Sports Ashish Shelar, Minister for Tourism Jayakumar Rawal, Chief Secretary Ajoy Mehta, Director General of Police Subodh Jaiswal, Principal Secretary Protocol Nandkumar, Commissioner of Police Sanjay Barve and senior government officials were present at the farewell function.

    Governor thanks people of Maharashtra
    Governor Vidyasagar Rao conveyed his sincere thanks to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, to the members of the State Cabinet and to the people of Maharashtra for the cooperation extended to him during his tenure as Governor of the State.

    New Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari to be sworn in on 5th September
    The newly appointed Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari will be sworn in at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai at 6.00 pm on Thursday 5th September 2019.
