Governor pays tribute to martyrs on Martyrs’ Day
A 2-minute silence was observed by Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari as a mark of respect to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the country on the occation of Martyrs’ Day at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Saturday (30th Jan). The Governor offered floral tribute to the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion.
Every year 30 January is observed as Martyrs’ Day in memory of the martyrs who laid down their lives for India’s Independence.
Prinicipal Secretary to the Governor Santosh Kumar, Special Secretary Rakesh Nainthani, Deputy Secretary Shweta Singhal and Prachi Jambhekar, Officers and staff of Raj Bhavan, public works department and police personnel were present.
