Governor Koshyari presents Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar National Awards

The Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari presented the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar National Awards at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Sunday (28th Feb).

Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale, Member of Parliament Udayanraje Bhosale, MP Dr Vikas Mahatme, scion of the Holkar family Yashwantrao Holkar and Nyarika Holkar and Founder of Saga Films Foundation Sagar Dhapte were present.

The award was presented posthumously to late Bhayyuji Maharaj for his social work. The award was accepted by his daughter Kuhu Deshmukh. The Governor also presented the awards to social worker Nitin Shete, Manager of Sant Gadge Maharaj Mission Dharmashala Trust Prashant Deshmukh, Vishwasrao Deokate, Somnath Holkar, Police Inspector from Rajasthan Himanshu Singh Rajavat, Forts conservation activist Maruti Gole, painter Shekhar Vasant Sane, film director and producer Kedar Shinde and film producer Sunil Manchanda.
