    Governor felicitates Corona Warriors from private healthcare sector

    Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari felicitated the Corona Warriors from the private healthcare sector at a felicitation function held at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Sunday (27th Dec).

    Fifty private general practitioners, specialists, dentists, pharmacists and laboratory technicians were among the 50 corona warriors felicitated at the function organized by the Medical Service Wing of Maharashtra Pradesh.

    Stating that the recovery rate of Covid -19 patients in India is 94 per cent, the Governor said the major credit for the record high recovery goes to the health care professionals, who rose above themselves and served the society, its poor, migrant workers and even the muted animals during the pandemic period.

    Referring the corona warriors as ‘Corona Veers’ and ‘Veer Naris’, the Governor appealed to them to continue their good work even in future as the ‘pandemic had not ended’.

    Stating that service to humanity is service to God, Koshyari appealed to doctors and healthcare professionals not to work for any rewards or recognition, but to work for the inner satisfaction of their own self.

    Convener of the Medical Service Wing of Maharashtra Pradesh Dr Ajeet Gopchhade, Mumbai Regional Convener of the Wing Dr Smita Kale, ENT specialist Dr Rahul Kulkarni and eminent doctors were present.

    The Governor released the book ‘Neuropathology of Brain Tumours with Radiologic Correlates’ authored by Dr Meghna Chaugule on the occasion.

    Dr Swapnil Mantri, Dr Meghna Chaugule, Dr Kailas Ghodke, Dr Sachin Bagadiya, were among those felicitated on the occasion.
