    Governor, Dy CM attend 26/11 Commemoration meeting for martyrs organised by Panchjanya

    Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari attended the concluding function of the commemoration meeting on the theme ’26/11 Mumbai Sankalp’ and paid his respects to the martyrs of the Mumbai terrorist attack at Hotel Taj Mahal in Mumbai on Friday (25 Nov). The commemoration meeting was organised by the weekly magazine ‘Panchjanya’.

    Stating that people who forget history are forgotten by history, Governor Koshyari called upon the people to remember the sacrifices of the martyrs of the 26 November terrorist attack and asked them to express solidarity with the family members of the martyrs.

    Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said the 26/11 terrorist attack was an attack on the sovereignty of the nation. He apprised of the various security and intelligence measures taken by the government in the aftermath of the attack. Fadnavis informed that the State Government is building a large port at Wadhwan which will have a bigger cargo handling capacity than the Jawaharlal Nehru port. He said the new port coupled with the Super Communication Expressway between Nagpur and Mumbai will provide port accessibility to the entire State of Maharashtra.

    Managing Director of Bharat Prakashan Bharat Bhushan Arora, Panchjanya Editor Hitesh Shankar, Deputy Editors Dinesh Mansera and Ashwani and invitees were present.
