Art Historian presents books to Governor Jishnu Dev Varma

Art Historian and Author Sandeep Dahisarkar presented copies of his latest books ‘A Couple of Different Strokes: V. B. Pathare & Prema V. Pathare’ and ‘Rao Bahadur M. V. Dhurandhar: A Painter from the Bombay School of Art’ to the Governor of Maharashtra Jishnu Dev Varma at Maharashtra Lok Bhavan, Mumbai.

The Governor appreciated the work of Dahisarkar and sought the help of all concerned in preserving the dying arts and folk arts of Maharashtra.

Dahisarkar spoke about the need for documentation of art heritage and the contribution of the Bombay School to the field of art.

Ar. Shirish Pathare, son of artists V. B. Pathare and Prema Pathare and Asmita Mohite of Popular Prakashan were also present.
