Maharashtra Governor pays condolences to former Governor K. Sankaranarayanan

The Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari has expressed grief over the demise of former Governor of Maharashtra K Sankaranarayanan (2010-2014) in Palghat, Kerala earlier today. In a condolence message, Governor Koshyari said:

“Shri K Sankaranarayanan was a respected popular leader known for honesty, integrity and uprightness. He was an experienced legislator and an able administrator and had also served as the Finance Minister of Kerala. As Governor of Maharashtra he took keen interest in higher education, development of backward regions of the State and welfare of tribals. He had the distinction of serving as the Governor of six States. With his impartial conduct,Sankaranarayanan elevated the stature of the post of the Governor. I pay my respects to the memory of the departed leader and convey my deepest condolences to his daughter and other members of the bereaved family.”
