    Maharashtra Governor launches Centenary Celebrations of Mumbai Branch of Ramakrishna Mission

    Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais inaugurated the Centenary Celebrations of the Mumbai Branch of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission at a programme held at Rang Sharda Auditorium in Mumbai on Friday (21 April). The Mumbai Centre was established in 1923.

    Congratulating the Mumbai Branch of Ramakrishna Mission for its century of service to humanity through its Hospital at Khar and the Rural Health and Welfare Centre at Sakwar in Palghar district, the Governor called upon the universities in the State to work in close collaboration with the Ramakrishna Mission to shape the character of youths.

    Stating that Vivekananda gave primacy to feeding the hungry, the Governor expressed the need for providing skill development to the youthful population of the nation.

    Vice President of Ramakrishna Mission Belur Math Swami Gautamananda, General Secretary Suvirananda, President of Ramakrishna Mission Mumbai Satyadevananda, Head of Narendrapur Centre Sarvalokananda, Member of Managing Committee of Ramakrishna Mission Rakesh Puri and monks from various Ramakrishna Missions from India and abroad were present.
