Governor witnesses PM’s programme ‘Somnath Swabhiman Parv’

On the occasion of the ‘Somnath Swabhiman Parva’ held today at Somnath Temple in Gujarat in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma visited the Shri Dhakleshwar Mahadev Temple near Mahalaxmi Temple complex in Mumbai and performed Abhishek and puja.

The Governor, accompanied by the Minister for Cultural Affairs, Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence Ashish Shelar witnessed the live telecast of the Prime Minister’s programme at Somnath Temple.

The Governor visited the photo exhibition organised in the Dhakleshwar Temple premises as part of the Somnath Swabhiman Parva and also addressed the gathering.

Secretary to the Governor Dr. Prashant Narnaware, Secretary, Cultural Affairs Department Dr. Kiran Kulkarni, Director of Cultural Affairs Shriram Pande, Chairman and Trustee of Shri Dhakleshwar Mahadev Temple Trust Ashok Bhansali, other trustees and devotees were present on the occasion.
