Governor Addresses Gen Z and Gen Alpha Conference
Maharashtra Governor Shri Jishnu Dev Varma today addressed the concluding session of the four-day IIMUN Championship Conference, organised in Mumbai for young people from Gen Z and Gen Alpha.
Interacting with the young participants, the Governor emphasised that questioning and seeking answers rather than accepting everything as it is is not a Western concept, but an intrinsic part of the Indian intellectual tradition. He said that India’s civilisation has always encouraged inquiry, debate and the pursuit of knowledge.
The Governor observed that if Arjuna had not questioned Lord Krishna, the Bhagavad Gita would never have emerged in the form in which the world knows it today. He urged the youth to cultivate curiosity, ask questions, think independently and seek knowledge with an open mind.
The four-day championship conference was organised in Mumbai by the International Movement to Unite Nations (IIMUN). Around 2,100 young participants from 100 cities across India and five other countries took part in the conference.
IIMUN Founder Rishabh Shah delivered the introductory remarks. Mentors Abhishek Dhawan, Anjani Raipat and Stuti Tak were also present on the occasion.
