    Governor Koshyari participates in Maha Kumbabhishekam of Murugan Temple

    Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari attended the Maha Kumbhabhishekam ceremony of the ‘Thiruchembur Murugan Temple’ at Chheda Nagar, Chembur, Mumbai and participated in the Puja Abhisheka at the temple of Murugan also known as Kartikeyan.

    Chairman of Tata Sons Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Organizing Secretary of the Sri Subramania Samaj P S Sumramaniyan, Sivachariyars from Tamil Nadu, Tantris and thousands of devotees were present.

    The Sri Subramania Samaj that manages the Thiruchembur Murugan Temple is celebrating its Platinum Jubilee this year. The organisation formed by the Tamilians of Mumbai built the Murugan Temple at Chheda Nagar as a monument of ancient art, architecture and culture in the year 1980.

    The Maha Kumbhabhishekam is performed at the temple every 12 years. The previous three Maha Kumbabhishekam were performed in the presence of Jagadguru Shankaracharya of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam.
