Maharashtra Governor condoles the demise of former Tripura Governor Dr. D. Y. Patil

Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma has expressed profound grief over the demise of former Tripura Governor and well known educationist Dr. D. Y. Patil.

In his condolence message, the Governor said: “I came to know Dr. D. Y. Patil Ji during his tenure as the Governor of Tripura. While serving as the Governor of Tripura and later as the Governor of Bihar, he enhanced the dignity and prestige of the office through his conduct and cordial nature. He enabled several students from underprivileged families across the North East to access quality education. Dr. D. Y. Patil Ji was a visionary educationist who established several institutions of higher and professional education in Maharashtra and many other parts of the country. Over the past three decades, these institutions have nurtured lakhs of students, many of whom are making significant contributions across diverse fields. Dr. Patil Ji’s contributions to social service, public life, politics, and education will continue to inspire future generations. I pay my heartfelt tributes to his cherished memory and convey my sincere condolences to the members of his bereaved family.”
