Bhojpuri writers, film makers and social workers honoured

Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari presided over the Bhojpuri Diwas and Dr Rajendra Prasad Jayanti at Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Thursday (2 Dec)

The programme was organised by monthly magazine ‘Bhojpuri Panchayat’. President of ‘Abhiyan’ socio cultural organisation Amarjeet Mishra, Editor of Bhojpuri Panchayat Kuldip Shrivastava and playback singer Udit Narayan were present.

The Governor felicitated playback singer Udit Narayan, Corona Warrior Dr Azam Badar Khan, Abhay Sinha, Prof Jayakant Singh, Anand Singh, Anjana Singh, Lalbabu Ambikalal Gupta, Lokesh Soni, Amarjeet Mishra and Ratnakar Kumar. The Governor offered floral tributes to the portrait of Dr Rajendra Prasad on the occasion. Udit Narayan’s singing of Bhojpuri song won him a round of applause.
