IPPB is a historic decision towards achieving the goal of financial inclusion: Maharashtra Governor
The Governor of Maharashtra CH. Vidyasagar Rao today (1st Sept.) inaugurated Andheri branch of IPPB at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai. In his address, the Governor said that IPPB is a historic decision towards achieving the goal of financial inclusion through the creation of the largest network of banking services with strong presence in rural areas.
The Governor further said that Department of Posts has rendered 165 years of service to the nation and has become an integral part of life of the people of India. The Department has touched the life of the last person and has set up an example of trust, transparency and people-friendliness. The humble postman has inspired poets and lyricists to write songs and poems. That is the power of Posts, he said.
Explaining the loan provision to young entrepreneurs, the Governor said that IPPB is joining hands with financial organizations to provide loans, investment and insurance products which will help youth of India to start new enterprises; it will also help farmers to augment their income through supplementary trade.
