‘Awareness Camp on Vector & Water‑borne Diseases conducted in Lok Bhavan’
A one‑day health check-up and awareness camp on ‘Prevention and Treatment of Vector‑borne and Water‑borne Diseases’ was conducted at the instance of Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma at Lok Bhavan, Mumbai on Thu (23 July).
Medical officers and staff from the Public Health Department of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) provided guidance to the staff and officers of Lok Bhavan and their family members on the preventive measures and treatment related to vector‑borne and water‑borne diseases.
A total of 110 employees underwent health check‑ups, including malaria testing. Public Health Department staff also visited employees’ residences and conducted malaria blood tests for their family members. Medicines related to these diseases were dispensed by the Lok Bhavan dispensary staff during the camp.
Comptroller of the Governor’s Household Dr. Nishikant Deshpande felicitated the participating medical officers and staff. Physician at Lok Bhavan Dr. Vikramjit Padole thanked the medical officers and staff for their support in the successful organization of the camp.
