    Maharashtra Governor dedicates School Bus for Tribal Students of Raigad District

    A school bus for students of tribal and rural areas in Raigad district was formally handed over by Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma at Maharashtra Lok Bhavan on Saturday (20 June).

    The school bus has been donated by the Suman Ramesh Tulsiani Trust to the Madhyamik Vidyamandir run by Chhatrapati Shikshan Mandal at Ratwad in Raigad district.

    Trustee of the Suman Ramesh Tulsiani Trust Manish Rupani, office-bearer of Nana Palkar Smruti Samiti Krushna Mahadik, Honorary Secretary of Chhatrapati Shikshan Mandal Dr. Nilesh Revgade, and other representatives of the institution.

    It was informed that the school at Ratwad provides education to 196 students from eight villages and four tribal hamlets in the area. The introduction of the school bus service has already resulted in an increase of 42 students in the school’s enrolment.

    The Trust has so far donated nine school buses for educational purposes. It was also mentioned that Ramesh Tulsiani and Suman Tulsiani passed away recently within a span of fifteen days. However, their legacy of social service continues through the activities of the Trust.
