Governor presents the ‘Shatabdi Mahotsav Awards’ of the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University

Maharashtra Governor and Chancellor of universities Ramesh Bais presented the various ‘Shatabdi Mahotsav Awards’ of the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University on the occasion of the Centenary Year of the University and the Teachers’ Day.

Former judge of the Supreme Court Justice Vikas Sirpurkar, Vice-Chancellor of RTMNU Dr. Subhash Chaudhari, Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sanjay Dudhe and Registrar Dr. Raju Hiwase were present on the dais.

The Governor conferred the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Jeevan Sadhana Award to five outstanding individuals for their contributions in various fields. Senior Researcher Dr. Hatim F. Daginawala, writer and researcher of Jhadi Boli Dr. Harishchandra Borkar, social worker and educationist Prof. Sureshbhau Deshmukh, Chairman of the Haldiram Group Shivkishan Aggarwal and Dr Nirupama Deshpande who has been working for the empowerment of tribal women in Melghat were given the Jeevan Sadhana Awards.

The Governor also presented the Adarsh Shikshan Sanstha Award, Dr R Krishna Kumar Gold Medal, Principal Balraj Aher Gold Medal, Centenary Gold Medal etc and honored various officers and non-teaching staff of the University.
