04.04.2024: President of India Droupadi Murmu flagged off the launch of ‘NexCAR19’, a fully integrated indigenous CAR – T cell therapy platform, a life saving therapy for the masses in India at IIT Bombay, Mumbai. The platform developed through the collaboration between IIT Bombay and Tata Memorial Hospital is regarded as the most phenomenal advances in Medical Science. Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais, Director of IIT Bombay Prof Subhasis Chaudhuri, Director of Tata Memorial Centre Prof Sudeep Gupta, Project leader Dr Rahul Purwar were prominent among those present.
