03.09.2024-Governor’s address on the occasion of the centenary of the Maharashtra State Legislative Council

03.09.2024: President of India Droupadi Murmu presided over a special programme organized on the occasion of the centenary of the Maharashtra State Legislative Council at Vidhan Mandal in Mumbai. The President presented the Best Parliamentarian and the Best Speech Award to the members for the years 2018-19 to 2022-23. The President released the book ‘Varishtha Sabhagruhachi Avashyakta Va Mahatva’ on the occasion. Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Rahul Narvekar, Deputy Chairperson of Maharashtra Legislative Council Dr. Neelam Gorhe, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Chandrakant Patil, Deputy Speaker of Legislative Assembly Narahari Zirawal, Leader of the Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Council Ambadas Danve were present.
