    Maharashtra Governor pays tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at Mani Bhavan

    The Governor of Maharashtra CH. Vidyasagar Rao visited Mani Bhavan and offered tribute at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi on his 149th Birth Anniversary in Mumbai on Tuesday (2 Oct).

    Former supercop Julio Rebeiro, President of Mani Bhavan Dr Usha Thakkar, Honorary Secretary Yogesh Kamdar and Chairperson of Gandhi Smarak Nidhi Raksha Mehta were present.

    The Governor was shown Gandhiji’s room at Mani Bhavan. He also visited the Library, Museum and the permanent exhibition at Mani Bhavan. The Governor signed the Visitors Book on this occasion.

    Mahatma Gandhi lived in Mani Bhavan between 1917 and 1934 during his occasional visits to Mumbai.
