    Maharashtra Governor asks State Universities to extend all help to Kerala

    The Governor of Maharashtra and Chancellor of State Universities CH. Vidyasagar Rao today asked Vice Chancellors of all state universities in Maharashtra to extend monetary and material support to Kerala in tackling the ongoing natural calamity in that State caused by massive floods.

    The Governor has asked the universities and colleges to raise funds and also extend necessary support to Kerala in its relief and rehabilitation effort.

    Secretary to the Governor B. Venugopal Reddy personally conveyed the appeal of the Governor to all the Vice Chancellors in the State and asked them to contribute to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for the flood-affected people of Kerala.

    Maharashtra has 20 universities with student strength of 2.3 million.
