Maha Governor pays respects to senior journalist Nilkanth Khadilkar
Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari today paid his respects to the mortal remains of former Editor of Navakal Nilkanth Khadilkar, who passed away in Mumbai earlier on Friday (22 Nov).
The Governor visited the residence of the Khadilkars in Girgaum, Mumbai and conveyed his condolences to the kin of late Nilkanth Khadilkar.
In a letter addressed to the daughter of late Khadilkar – Smt Jayashri Pande-Khadilkar, Editor of Navakal, the Governor said, the late Nilkanth Khadilkar turned the newspaper ‘Navakal’ into a platform for raising the problems of workers, labours and ordinary people. He said, late Khadilkar justified his title of ‘the King of Editorials’ by educating and enlightening the general public on issues facing the nation and the State.
