The 128th birth Anniversary Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar was celebrated in Mumbai on Sunday (14th April).
The Governor of Maharashtra CH. Vidyasagar Rao visited the Chaityabhumi Memorial at Dadar and garlanded the bust of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar on the occasion. The ‘Trisharan Buddha Vandana’ was sung in presence of the Governor.
Vishwanath Mahadeshwar, Mayor of Mumbai, Nagsen Kamble, General Secretary, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Smarak Samanvay Samiti and others were present.
The Governor later visited a photo exhibition on the life of Dr Ambedkar put up by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai near Chaityabhumi. Municipal Commissioner Ajoy Mehta and Additional Municipal Commissioner Ashwini Joshi were present. The visit concluded with the playing of the National Anthem by the band of the Municipal Corporation.
