Maha Governor attends meeting of Governors’ Committee on doubling farmers’ income
A meeting of the Committee of Governors on doubling the income of farmers was held at Gurukul Kurukshetra in Haryana on Wednesday (25th Sept). Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari attended the meeting.
The Committee on ‘Farmers and Agriculture’ has been constituted by the President of India Ram Nath Kovind to prepare an Action Plan for realizing the national objective of doubling the income of farmers.
Apart from Maharashtra Governor, the meeting was attended by other members – Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan, Governor of Haryana Satya Deo Narain Arya, Governor of Gujarat Acharya Devvrat, Madhya Pradesh Governor Lalji Tandon and Governor of Telangana Smt Tamilisai Soundararajan. Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat is the Convenor of the Commmittee.
