Mumbai, Date 11 : The country is progressing in the field of industry. A target to make the economy of five trillion dollars has been kept. The contribution of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises will also be crucial to make our country on forefront in this field across the globe, Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari said today. He was speaking at an event organized on the anniversary of the All India MSME Association.

On this occasion, aima MSME Association’s Dr. Avinash Dalal, Jayesh Barot, Prof. Shiva Prasad along with other dignitaries were present.

Governor Koshyari said, entrepreneurship has been given importance in our country since ancient times. Success in any industry can be achieved only by the combination of tactics, intelligence and hard work. MSMEs account for thirty percent of the country’s gross domestic product. However, due to lack of proper guidance and planning, many MSME enterprises cannot repay their loans to banks and as result they turned to non-performing assets (NPA). Owing to the shutting down of small enterprises, the nation is also affected. He also appealed that experts working in this field should exchange ideas and suggest solution to it.

It is the duty of every entrepreneur to take care of the loss of national wealth like electricity, water, while taking advantage of the concessions offered by the government, Mr. Koshyari added.

The All India MSME Association works to bring Micro, Small and Medium entrepreneurs under one umbrella. This year, the association has completed nine years. On this occasion, some distinguished members of the industry were honored with honorary membership of the association.
