    Governor to attend 175th anniversary of Shaare Rason Synagogue

    The Governor of Maharashtra CH. Vidyasagar Rao will participate in the 175th anniversary celebration of the Shaare Rason Synagogue at the Magen David Synagogue, Sir J J Road, Opposite Richardson Cruddas, Byculla, Mumbai at 5.30 pm on Sunday 13th January 2019.

    Yaakov Finkelstein, Consul General of Israel in Mumbai, Rabbi Ya’aqob Menasseh, Rabbi Romiel Daniel, Solomon Sopher, President, India Jewish Congress, Judah David Samuel, President ofShaare Rason Synagogue, Sinora Kolatkar, Honorary Manager, members of Jewish community from India and abroad will remain present.

    According to the President of the Shaare Rason Synagogue Judah David Samuel, the Shaare Rason Synagogue (located at Pydhonie, Mandvi) is the second oldest synagogues of the Bene Israeli Jewish community. The Synagogue was consecrated in 1843. (Judah Samuel 9819619919)
