Governor reviews the progress of utilization of Special Funds given to Development Boards
The Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyati reviewed the progess of utilization of Special Funds allotted to Development Boards at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Saturday (4 Jan).
At a meeting of Chairmen and Member Secretaries of Development Boards and Divisional Commissioners, the Governor asked the Human Development Commissioner to grant early approval to all proposals sent by the Development Boards for increasing Human Development Index in the backward talukas of the State. At the instance of the Governor, special fund of Rs.50 crore each was allocated to the development boards of Vidabha, Marathwada and Rest of Maharashtra for the financial year 2019 – 20.
Chairman of Vidabha Development Board Chainsukh Sancheti, Chairman of Marathwada Development Board Dr Bhagwat Karad, Chairman of Rest of Maharashtra Development Board Dr Yogesh Jadhav, Divisional Commissioners of six revenue divisions and senior officials were present.
