Governor gives Sadbhavana Day Pledge to staff on Rajiv Gandhi Birth Anniversary
The Governor of Maharashtra CH. Vidyasagar Rao read out the ‘Sadbhavana Day Pledge’ to the officers and staff of Raj Bhavan on the occasion of 74th Birth Anniversary of former Prime Minister late Rajiv Gandhi at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Monday (20th). The Birth Anniversary of late Rajiv Gandhi is observed as Sadbhavana Diwas.
Reading out the pledge, the Governor called upon the people ‘to work for the emotional oneness and harmony of all the people of India regardless of caste, creed, region, religion or language’ and to ‘resolve all differences through dialogue and constitutional means without resorting to violence’.
Earlier the Governor offered floral tribute to the portrait of late Shri Rajiv Gandhi.
Secretary to the Governor B. Venugopal Reddy, Deputy Secretary Ranjit Kumar, Comptroller Vasant Salunke, Police officers and staff, jawans of the State Reserve Police Force and Public Works staff posted at Raj Bhavan were present on the occasion.
