Governor declares prize of Rs.50 K for victorious NCC Cadets
Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari today announced a prize of Rs.50000 to Maharashtra NCC for returning with a rich haul of medals from the Republic Day Camp held in New Delhi. The Governor announced the prize at the reception hosted by him to welcome the winning contingent of 116 cadets and 10 officers at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Sunday (2nd Feb). The Maharashtra Directorate was adjudged the Runners up for the Prime Minister’s Banner for 2020.
Complimenting the cadets for serving the nation while pursuing thier studies, the Governor asked them to observe discipline and persuade others to observe discipline in all walks of life. Brigadier Rajendra Singh Dhaila, Officiating Additional Director General of Maharashtra NCC, Wing Commander Vikram Thiagaraman, other senior officers of NCC and their family members were present.
