27.02.2024 : Governor inaugurates 132nd Annual Exhibition of Bombay Art Society

27.02.2024 : Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais inaugurated the 132nd edition of the All India Annual Art Exhibition of the Bombay Art Society at Jehangir Art Gallery Mumbai. Former Chairman of Lalit Kala Academy and well known sculptor Dr Uttam Pacharne was given the ‘Roop Dhar Lifetime Achievement Award’ posthumously. The Governor also presented the Bendre-Hussain Scholarship, Sangeeta Jindal Scholarship and Sandhya Mishra Scholarship to selected artists. Gold medals were awarded to the winners of the exhibition. Senior artist Manoj Joshi, President of Bombay Art Society Rajendra Patil, Vikrant Manjrekar, Chandrajeet Smarak, Surendra Jagtap, artists, office bearers and art lovers were present.

27.02.2024 : राज्यपाल रमेश बैस यांनी आज जहांगीर कलादालन मुंबई येथे बॉम्बे आर्ट सोसायटीच्या १३२ व्या अखिल भारतीय वार्षिक कला प्रदर्शनाचे उदघाटन केले. यावेळी ललित कला अकादमीचे माजी अध्यक्ष व ज्येष्ठ शिल्पकार दिवंगत डॉ उत्तम पाचारणे यांना सोसायटीचा 'रुपधर जीवन गौरव पुरस्कार' मरणोपरांत प्रदान करण्यात आला. राज्यपालांच्या हस्ते निवड झालेल्या कलाकारांना बेंद्रे - हुसेन शिष्यवृत्ती, संगीता जिंदल शिष्यवृत्ती व संध्या मिश्रा शिष्यवृत्ती प्रदान करण्यात आल्या, तसेच 'महाराष्ट्र राज्यपाल पुरस्कार' प्रदर्शनातील विजेत्यांना सुवर्ण पदके प्रदान करण्यात आली. उदघाटन सोहळ्याला ज्येष्ठ कलाकार मनोज जोशी, सोसायटीचे अध्यक्ष राजेंद्र पाटील, चंद्रजीत यादव, विक्रांत मांजरेकर, सुरेंद्र जगताप, कलाकार, कलाप्रेमी व पदाधिकारी उपस्थित होते.
