24.03.2023: PM addressed the 'One World TB Summit' at Varanasi on the occasion of World TB Day

24.03.2023: Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi addressed the 'One World TB Summit' at Varanasi on the occasion of World TB Day. The Summit was organised to highlight India's successes and share experiences regarding the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan that aims to make India TB free by 2025. UP Governor Anandiben Patel, UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Dr Mansukh Mandaviya UP Dy CM Brijesh Pathak, Executive Director of Stop TB Partnership Dr Lucica Ditiu and national and international delegates were present. Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais attended the meeting through the virtual platform. The Annual TB Report 2023, Training Module for Extra Pulmonary TB, Family-centric Care, TB Mukt Panchayat initiative, Pan -India Rollout of Shorter TB Preventive Treatment and other initiatives were launched. The TB Free Awards were given to 2 States and districts.
