20.10.2023 : Governor flags off Statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj launches at Kupwara, Jammu-Kashmir

20.10.2023 : Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais accompanied by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Minister of Cultural Affairs Sudhir Mungantiwar flagged off the equestrian statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj from Raj Bhavan Mumbai. The statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will be presented to the Maratha Light Infantry Regiment for its installation on the India - Pakistan border at Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir. This statue has been created at the instance of 'Aamhi Punekar Foundation' and 'Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Smarak Samiti'.Principal Secretary, Cultural Affairs Department Vikas Kharge, Trustee of 'Aamhi Punekar Foundation' Abhay Singh Raje Shirole, President Hemant Jadhav and other invitees were present.
