17.07.2023: President of India presides over the Ceremonial Session of the Annual General Meeting of the Indian Red Cross Society

17.07.2023: President of India Droupadi Murmu presided over the Ceremonial Session of the Annual General Meeting of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) from Rashtrapati Bhavan. Governors and Lt. Governors of various States and Union Territories, Union Minister of Public Health and Family Welfare Dr Mansukh Mandaviya and office bearers of Indian Red Cross Society were present. Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais participated in the Ceremonial Session through online mode. The States of Odisha and Haryana were given the awards for best work in Fund Raising and Memberships of IRCS, while the same for Union Territories was given to Jammu and Kashmir. The State of Gujarat and the Union Territory of Dadra Nagar Haveli were given the Shields for best performance in Blood Donation. Two Red Cross volunteers were also felicitated.
