15.03.2026: Maharashtra, the Governor of Maharashtra and Chancellor of the State’s public universities Jishnu Dev Varma conferred the honorary Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) degree upon the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis at the 39th Convocation Ceremony of Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri. Chairman of Maharashtra Legislative Council Ram Shinde; Minister for Agriculture and Pro-Chancellor of the University Dattatray Bharane; Minister for Water Resources (Godavari and Krishna Valley Development Corporation) and Guardian Minister of Ahilyanagar district Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil; former Chairman of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research Ashok Kumar Singh; and the Vice-Chancellor of the university Vilas Kharche, were among those present.
