08.07.2024: Governor presides over the Foundation Day of the Peoples’ Education Society

08.07.2024: Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais presided over the 79th Foundation Day of the Peoples' Education Society at Y B Chavan Auditorium in Mumbai. The educational society was founded by Bharatratna Dr B R Ambedkar on 8th July 1945. The Governor presented the Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Awards to eminent personalities from various walks of life on the occasion. Director of Symbiosis Society's Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Museum & Memorial Smt Sanjeevani Shantaram Mujumdar, Public Prosecutor Ujwal Nikam, Adv B K Barve, Vice Chancellor of SPPU Prof Suresh Gosavi, General Secretary of Chaityabhumi Memorial Nagsen Kamble, Lok Kala Academy's Prof Ganesh Chandanshive, YASHADA's Baban Jogdand and Director of Singhania Education Revathi Srinivasan were among those felicitated by the Governor. Union Minister of State for Social Justice and President of People's Education Society Ramdas Athawale, former UGC Chairman Prof. Sukhdev Thorat, Trustee Ujwal Nikam, Adv. B K Barve, Secretary Dr. Waman Acharya, Joint Secretary Dr. U M Maske, Executive Committee Chairman Kamble were among those present.
