07.12.2023: Governor inaugurates the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund Collection Drive

07.12.2023: Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais inaugurated the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund Collection Drive by making a donation to the Flag Fund at Raj Bhavan Mumbai. The Flag Day was organised jointly by Mumbai City and Suburban districts on the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day, which is celebrated every year on 7 December. Vice Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, AVSM, NM FOC-in-C, HQ Western Naval Command, Lt Gen H S Kahlon, SM, General Officer Commanding, Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat Area, Air Vice Marshal Rajat Mohan, Air Officer Commanding, Maritime Air Operations, Collector of Mumbai City, Rajendra Kshirsagar, Collector of Mumbai Suburban Rajendra Bhosle, Director of the Department of Sainik Welfare Brigadier (retd.) Rajesh Gaikwad pinned the flag of Armed Forces Flag Day on the jacket of the Governor to mark the inauguration. Representatives of various organizations contributing to the Flag Fund were present on the occasion. The Governor felicitated representatives of various donor organizations on this occasion. Representatives of some organizations handed over their donation cheques to the Governor.
