    05.07.2023: President of India Smt Droupadi Murmu laid the foundation stone of the new campus of the Gondwana University at Adpalli in Gadchiroli. The President also addressed the 10th Convocation of the University and awarded graduation degrees. Governor of Maharashtra and Chancellor of Universities Ramesh Bais, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Chairman of the National Commission for Backward Classes Hansraj Ahir, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Minister of Cultural Affairs and Forest Sudhir Mungantiwar, Minister of Higher and Technical Education Chandrakant Patil, Minister of Tribal Development Dr Vijay Kumar Gavit, Vice Chancellor Dr Prashant Bokare, Pro VC Shriram Kawale, members of various boards of authorities of the University, members of faculty and graduating students were present. Degrees were presented to 20,535 students while Ph Ds were awarded to 137 candidates. A total of 39 Gold Medals were given medals to meritorious students at the Convocation.
