Governor pays tribute to martyrs on Martyrs’ Day

A 2-minute silence was observed by Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari as a mark of respect to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the country on the occasion of Martyrs’ Day at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Monday (30th Jan).

A documentary film on ‘Mahatma Gandhi’s visits to Raj Bhavan’ was shown on the occasion.

Every year 30 January is observed as Martyrs’ Day in memory of the martyrs who laid down their lives for India’s Independence.

Prinicipal Secretary to the Governor Santosh Kumar, Special Secretary Rakesh Nainthani, Joint Secretary Shweta Singhal and Deputy Secretary Prachi Jambhekar, Officers and staff of Raj Bhavan, public works department and police personnel were present.
