Maharashtra Governor inaugurates refurbished Aditya Jyot Eye Hospital; calls for promoting eye donation
Maharashtra Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan inaugurated the renovated ‘Aditya Jyot Eye Hospital’, now part ofDr Agarwal’s Eye Hospital network at Wadala in Mumbai on Tue (29 April).
Speaking on the occasion, theGovernor called upon the people to come forward for eye donation. Stating thathe has himself pledged his eyes, he appealed to modern eye hospitals toorganise eye check up camps in rural and tribal areas for the benefit of tribals.The Governor appealed to the Agarwal Eye Hospital to create a Mobile Unit ofthe Hospital and reach out with modern eye care facilities to the poor andneedy across the country.
Earlier the Governor visited therenovated eye hospital and unveiled the plaque. Dr S. Natarajan, ClinicalHead of Aditya Jyot Eye Hospital checked the Governor’s vision on the occasion.
CEO of Agarwal Eye Hospital Dr.Adil Agarwal, Chief Strategy Officer, Dr Agarwal’s Eye Hospital Dr.Vandana Jain, Secretary to the Governor Dr Prashant Narnaware, doctors andstaff of Dr Agarwal’s Eye Hospital were present.
