As India’s Finance Minister during one of its most challenging periods, he successfully navigated the nation through economic crises and laid the foundation for globalization and liberalization. Known for his humility, dignity, and profound intellect, Dr. Singh elevated parliamentary debates with his insightful contributions.
With his demise, India has lost a globally respected statesman-scholar and a remarkable parliamentarian. My thoughts and prayers are with his family in this moment of sorrow.”
