Maha Governor holds meet to discuss creation of model tribal villages, State Tribal University

Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan today presided over a meeting to discuss creation of model tribal villages in the Scheduled Areas of Maharashtra and to create a Tribal University in the State, at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai.

Minister of Tribal Development Dr Vijay Kumar Gavit, Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of various government departments were present.

The meeting was also attended by Popatrao Pawar of Hiware Bazar, Gaurang Das, Director of Govardhan Eco Village, Tirthaswarup Das of Swami Narayan Mandir, Shekhar Bhadwawle of ‘Saguna Baug’ and senior government officers.
